The OpenZoom SDK is already compatible with the Flex 4 SDK as Flex 4 (Gumbo) is fully backwards compatible with Flex 3.
What you probably meant to ask is whether the OpenZoom SDK supports the new Spark component architecture and the answer is not really, although it doesn't actually matter since the OpenZoom Flex components are lookless components, meaning they currently do not support skinning anyway.

Inappropriate?Well, i was just trying to implement OpenZoom in one of my projects but i noticed that if there is a spark text area (or richtext..) i get this error on running:
VerifyError: Error #1053: Sostituzione non valida di exportXMLAttributes in flashx.textLayout.conversion.FXGExporter.
at flash.display::MovieClip/nextFrame()
at mx.managers::SystemManager/deferredNextFrame()[E:\dev\beta1\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\managers\SystemManager.as:352]
at mx.managers::SystemManager/preloader_initProgressHandler()[E:\dev\beta1\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\managers\SystemManager.as:3287]
at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction()
at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent()
at mx.preloaders::Preloader/timerHandler()[E:\dev\beta1\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\preloaders\Preloader.as:418]
at flash.utils::Timer/_timerDispatch()
at flash.utils::Timer/tick()
(the first row say: not valid sostitution of exportXML... )
probably because in sdk 4 of flex, they are changing a lot the way to use texts..
do you know what could have caused the problem?

for anyone having my same problem i fond out that it was caused by the swc file:
lib\textLayout-4.0.0.8945
so, i just moved it into another directory and everything went fine ;)
