Trying to build Nano
I'm trying to modify OpenZoomViewer and I'm having trouble building it on Mac.
I was able to build openzoom.swc. It took me awhile because of the pesky <cr><lf> characters in compc causes it to fail on mac. Also needed to set the execute bit. You might want to update the readme about that.
Without much help I was able to get the Eclipse setup with an openzoom project and OpenZoomViewer project. I managed to link the openzoom project as suggested in the readme. Also included the swc files in the library path of OpenZoomViewer, but I still get a compile error: OpenZoomViewer.as can't find MultScaleImage.
Does MultiScaleImage live in openzoom.swc or somewhere else?

P.S. Gotta say this is a lot harder to get going with than the bazillion other open source projects I've worked on in the last 20 years or so.</lf></cr>

Inappropriate?John,
Thanks for writing and sorry for your troubles.
If the SWC is not working for you, I suggest you try to link your OpenZoom Nano project with the source code of the OpenZoom SDK project.
When you say other open source projects were easier to set up, do you have any suggestions what would make it easier to get started with OpenZoom?
Although people seem quite happy with the current setup –

Cheers,
Daniel
P.S. This probably doesn't qualify as the quick answer you were looking for but my excuse is my move to Redmond – http://gasi.ch/blog/joining-microsoft/ :)
I’m thankful for feedback

Inappropriate? Thanks for the email. I did link my OpenZoom Nano project with the source code of the OpenZoom SDK.
One simple suggestion, to make it easier to get started, would be to have instructions on building from source with commonly used tools -- most open source projects have that. Admittedly I haven't done much flash programming yet, but Iv'e done so much other programming it would be pretty easy to pick up with a quick walk through on the build.
I’m looking forward to tracking this down soon and will post the answer

Inappropriate?Looks like the problem is solved by checking out newer versions from the repository -- last weeks versions fail to build, this week's work.
I’m lucky

Inappropriate?John,
Glad it works for you now! Though it's odd the new version helped since I haven't changed anything in a couple of weeks :)

I’m amused
