Saving & Printing with OpenZoom
I don't know wether I should post this as a question or as an idea, but I would like to see a possibility to drag an area with my mouse and either print it or save it as a file. This would make OpenZoom perfect for my needs.

Inappropriate?gijswijs,
Yes, this is indeed a great idea! I don't know about your background but I see myself in a role to build the OpenZoom SDK in way that enables other developers to build such features on top of it.
If you're a developer yourself, please try to build something like that and if there's something missing in the SDK itself, please come back and I'll try to help out. Even if you're not comfortable with code, pitch this great idea to a developer you know or find one and make this happen!
There's still a lot to be done in the core framework such as the possibility to display large collections of images with good performance. At this point, this is still very much what I am focusing on.
Cheers,
Daniel

Inappropriate?I am planning to address this issue myself. Drawing shouldn't be a problem really. Its more of a question which method should be applied. If "what you see" resolution is OK, then I thing copyPixels() method should be used. You could then use "download" method to send it to visitor (I reckon jpg/png encoder before pushing for download would be welcome).
However, if you require higher quality than what is currently displayed (like in my case), then the spartan solution is to send request to server-side script that will cut-out requested zone from higher resolution image and serve it back. You can accomplish this with imagemagick + PHP for example.
