Rendering Errors at the Edges in Flex MultiScaleImage Component
I'm looking at the MappingFlex example. Zooming in is very smooth, but when zooming out, gaps briefly appear around the edge of the map and the background momentarily shows through in different places. Do you know why that is happening? This does not appear to be a problem for the photo examples.
Great work, by the way.

Inappropriate?Trevor,
Thanks for reporting this. I've seen similar artifacts at the edges but only when rapidly zooming out and only in Flex. It's some bug in the rendering engine which I was able to fix by using Event.EXIT_FRAME as render loop instead of the currently used Event.ENTER_FRAME though the former seems – contrary to the documentation – only be available in Flash Player 10.
It would be great if you could post some screenshots of the problem your seeing in order to confirm it is the same.
In the meantime I'll try to come up with a fix or at least a workaround.
Cheers,
Daniel
P.S. Glad you like OpenZoom :)
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I've attached a screenshot of a moment in the zoom out operation. You can see the background appearing along the bottom and left of the screen. At some moments during the zoom out operation, the gaps are much larger than this. I see this effect with Flash Player 9 in FF and Flash Player 10 in IE.
Hope this helps.
